It seems everyone in Winnipeg is looking for ways to get out of the house this winter! Fresh air is good for the soul — not to mention it helps to get the wiggles out of the kids. 

We put together a list to help you find fun things to do this winter with your family in Winnipeg (or just a short drive away!) during these next few winter months: 

1. Assiniboine Zoo Lights 

  • Location: 2595 Roblin Blvd, Winnipeg, MB
  • November 26, 2021 - January 2, 2022 5:00 pm - 10:30 pm

2. Have the Birds Eating out of the Palm of Your Hands at Birds Hill Provincial Park





3. CanadInns Winter Wonderland – Manitoba’s largest drive-thru light show.

  • Location: 3977 Portage Ave, Winnipeg, MB R3K 2E8
  • December 3, 2021 – January 8, 2022


4. Visit for Snowshoeing & Ice Fishing FortWhyte Alive 

  • Location: 1961 McCreary Rd Winnipeg, MB R3P 2K9
  • Open 9 am - 5pm


5. Sledding Hills & Toboggan Runs around Winnipeg





6. The Arctic Glacier Winter Park & Centennial River Trail 

  • Location: The Forks 1 Forks Market Road
  • Open: Market Building is open daily from 7am - 11pm *hours are currently variable


7. The Snow Maze at A Maze in Corn 

  • Location: 1351 MB-200, Saint Adolphe, MB R5A 1A2 
  • Open: Currently Closed - hopefully opening the week after Christmas/early January
