Little Ones: K–2nd Grade
For little kids, school clothes need to be comfortable, easy to manage, and tough enough for the whole school day.
At this age, you're shopping for the kid who may come home with marker on a sleeve, mulch in a shoe, and a mystery stain no one can explain. Walmart has colorful graphic tees, easy pull-on pants, comfy joggers, jeans, lightweight jackets, and sneakers that can handle recess.

Tween shopping is where things start to get opinionated.
They may not be able to tell you what they want, but they'll definitely communicate what they don't (eye rolls included). That can make back-to-school clothes shopping feel a little like negotiating with a very stylish attorney.
