It's farmers market time in Winnipeg!

We love supporting our local farmers and buying locally-grown produce and goods. Plus, it's fun for the whole family to visit a farmers market in Winnipeg.

Here are four things to note before heading out to farmers markets in Winnipeg and Surrounding area:

  • Bring your own containers or bags to avoid any extra charges! 
  • Bring cash as some Wininpeg farmer market stands and pick-your-own farms don't take credit cards.
  • Some farmer markets in Winnipeg might have rules or requests in place due to COVID. Please check their websites or social media sites before heading out!

Farmers markets in Winnipeg typically open for the season by the end of June. 

Downtown Winnipeg Farmers' Market

When: Opening June 24th, every Thursday from 10am to 2:30pm until September 23rd

What: Find fresh and local vegetables and fruits, baking, preserves, meat, fish, cheese, crafts, jewelry, and other food and artisan items at this year-round Farmers’ Market in the heart of downtown.

Where: True North Square, 242 Hargrave St

*You can find the Market indoors at Cityplace (333 St. Mary Ave) from October to May on Thursdays at the same time.


St Norbert Farmers' Market

When: Saturdays 8am to 2pm & Wednesdays 3pm to 7pm (Open Year Round)

What: Every Saturday morning for the past 34 years Manitoba’s farm families have loaded up their vehicles with farm fresh fruit, flowers, meats and vegetables. They come from St. Adolphe, Starbuck, St. Léon, and from as far away as Killarney, Manitoba, bringing wares from their farms to you.

Bronx Park Community Centre Farmers' Market

When: When COVID restrictions allow us to open  -  Every Saturday 9:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. until the last Saturday in September

What: An open air market at 720 Henderson hwy. We are host to a wide variety of bakers, farmers and artisans.

Where: 720 Henderson Hwy where Elmwood, East and North Kildonan all meet.

St-Leon Gardens Farmers' Market

When: Open 7 days a week, always packed with fresh local goodies, Mon - Sat : 9am - 9pm, Sundays & Holidays: 9am to 6pm

What: What started out as a small youth gardening project has grown into a seasonal outdoor farm market that sells produce grown or made by over 200 local producers. From juicy local strawberries to freshly baked bread, we pack our shelves with only the best that can be found across Manitoba. Swing on by to Jardins St-Léon Gardens. Open every day of the week!

South Osborne Farmers' Market

When: Wednesdays from 4-8pm, June 23rd-September 29th

What: A wide variety of locally raised meats, spray-free organic vegetables and fruits from our farmer members, plus dozens of vendors selling local honey, sourdough bread, baked goods, preserves, handicrafts and much more!

Where: Lord Roberts Community Centre 725 Kylemore

River Heights Farmers' Market

What: The River Heights Farmers’ Market is a welcoming community of Manitoba farmers and small vendors. Our Market seeks to connect area residents directly with local producers and artisans.
