Check out this Winnipeg Gem: The Icicle Garden

A lending library for winter equipment

By Carmen Kaethler, Macaroni Kid Winnipeg February 14, 2021

Have you heard of the Icicle Garden on 267 Sherbrook St? It’s a winter pop up at the Plain Bicycle store front run through Winnipeg Trails that operates as a lending library of winter activity equipment. All of the supplies have been donated to them from Winnipeg residents and rentals are very affordable. Price is by donation although they have suggested daily rates.

They have cross country skis, snowshoes, a few snow boards, some skates and even some kick sleds you can sign out. They don’t have a large selection right now of kid sizes for skis so call a head of time to reserve yours. They are currently taking appointments for individuals to come in to try if equipment and rent and may open to drop ins soon based on restrictions so make sure you call or email a head of going down.

If you are cleaning out your home and have equipment to donate they are always looking and could really use more kid sizes for everything.
