This year we might not have festivals, fairs and other large events to attend, but there are a LOT of great ideas we can still do. I've put together 40 ideas we can do in Winnipeg in this free printable and I ALSO added a blank list for you to create your own or add to the first one because what is more fun than brainstorming all the fun things you could possibly do this summer and making a Summer Bucket List?
This is a yearly, pre-summer tradition in our family. We get out a piece of paper and markers and create a long list. Then we post it on the wall, so whenever we need ideas, we just check the list! Even if you don't get them all checked off by the end of the summer, you'll still have a plan and avoid missing your "must-do" items!

- Feed the ducks at the Witch's Hut in Kildonan Park and while you are there take a walk through the hut to see the Hanzel & Gretel story and finish you visit with a trip to the playground and a walk through the gardens. The Witch's Hut NORMALLY opens mid-May for the summer, just waiting to see when it will be this year. Summer Hours have previously been: Open 1pm to 5pm - Thursday through Monday. Closed Tuesday & Wednesday. (Ducks shouldn't be fed the left over crackers in your snack bag but rather purchase feed from inside the Witch Hut or bring your own.) You can also feed them at the water front of The Forks.
- Watch a movie under the stars. While we probably won't have the opportunity to attend the movies in the park this year you can still enjoy a movie in your backyard with a projector and screen. If you do you can Create Your Own Backyard Movie Party Cars

- Not everyone can get out of the city for the weekend but if you can borrow a tent (or if you have one, great!), setting it up in a back yard for a camp out with the kids will definitely make some great family memories. If you CAN go to a campsite here is 10 Tips for Camping With Kids
